Our Goals

Promote Equity and Inclusion in Education. Increase the post-secondary outcomes for all Chicago youth by connecting them to high quality mentoring and enrichment opportunities within their communities.
Respect and Develop Community. Ensure youth and community voice and culture are incorporated in all aspects of programming.

Support Collaboration and Best Practices. Serve as a convener and think-tank partner for Chicago Public Schools, community-based mentoring organizations, higher education and workforce development partners to promote evidence-based best practices in mentoring and youth development.

Support Mentoring in Chicago. Facilitate the development and sustainability of quality school and community based mentoring and provide professional development opportunities to mentoring program staff.
The Work We Do

Provide research and toolkits to schools and community based organizations interested in starting or enhancing a mentoring program.
​
Connect school and community based mentoring programs to resources in Chicago’s higher education
community such a college visit opportunities, male mentoring events, and leadership development programs.
​
Develop topic specific workshops for mentoring program staff to enhance their skills and help them build program capacity.
​
Create a network of higher education and workforce development partners that help youth transition from high school and community based mentoring programs into campus mentoring and internship opportunities.
